Description

Mental Health problems affect around 1 in 10 children and young people. These issues include depression, anxiety and conduct disorder and can often be a direct response to occurrences in their lives. Emotional well-being is just as important as a childís mental health; therefore, it is important for those working with children and young people to have a good understanding of the concepts, risk factors and impact of mental health. This qualification will increase learnerís knowledge and awareness of children and young peopleís mental health. The 11 week course is delivered online with a live webinar each week then activities and assignments to complete at home to gain the qualification. The webinar is recorded so it can be viewed flexibly should the live webinar not be at an accessible time.

This course is delivered by training provider BTAC (part of Bedford Borough Council) on behalf of Bedfordshire Employment & Skills Academy, part of Central Bedfordshire Council.
