What does the course cover?
You'll build an understanding of mental health problems and the support available in the workplace. You'll learn how to support individuals with their mental health, as well as what a mentally healthy environment is like.

This qualification is suitable for anyone wanting to understand mental health first aid and how to care for those with mental ill health. It's also valuable for anyone planning a career that requires an understanding of mental ill health. You don't need to be working in a relevant job role or have any prior knowledge or experience.

How is it completed?
This is a short professional qualification, which is completed entirely online. There's no face-to-face contact with your assessor. Instead, you will be uploading evidence to an online learning platform, which will be assessed remotely, and feedback provided.

How long does it take to complete the course?
3 months.

What are the entry requirements?
You must be at least 19 years old.

Location
Independent learning completed online, with remote support from an assessor.

When can I start?
Anytime.

What can I progress onto after completing?
You can access any other of our short CPD qualifications, or move on to one of our vocational qualifications, subject to being in the right job role
