Description

NCFE Diploma for the Early Years Senior Practitioner Level 5

The Early Years Senior Practitioner will be a positive role model for the team. Through clear leadership and effective management, you will support and promote best practice within legislative requirements to enable quality provision. Working collaboratively with colleagues, other professionals and parents/carers you will engage and motivate all involved for improved outcomes for babies and children.

This course is delivered by Bedfordshire Employment & Skills Academy, part of Central Bedfordshire Council.

Level 5 Diploma for the Early Years Senior Practitioner

What does the course cover?
This qualification covers many areas, including early years pedagogy, play for learning, SEND support, leading & managing.

Who is it suitable for?
Those working in the role of Leader, Deputy or Manager in an appropriate setting, or have the opportunity to carry out responsibilities associated with these roles.

How is it completed?
By being observed in the workplace, completing e-learning, research and written assignments, as well as reflection on current practice.

How long does it take to complete the course?
24 months.

What are the entry requirements?
You must be at least 19 years old and working in a suitable role for a minimum of 15 hours per week. Holding a relevant Level 3 qualification is desirable.

Location
Independent learning with support from an assessor and observations at your workplace.

When can I start?
Anytime.

What can I progress onto after completing?
You may wish to move on to any of our short CPD qualifications

Cost
£4,200. You may be eligible for an advanced learner loan. Otherwise, payment by instalments can be arranged.
