Description

This workshop will introduce you to Functional Skills Maths at Entry Level. The session may begin with a supported maths assessment, if required, so your starting point can be identified and you then move forwards onto an introductory course that meets your learning needs. You will also do practical activities to develop core number skills such as addition, subtraction and place value using real-life examples relevant to everyday situations. The session will help you to feel more confident with maths and progressing to further maths courses.  

What does the course cover?
1. Complete a BKSB Initial Assessment and understand the results 2. Be familiar with the structure and expectations of the Functional Skills Maths course 3. Feel more confident using basic number skills in everyday contexts 4. Be better prepared and motivated to begin their learning journey
