Helping Children with Maths
What does the course cover?
Are you an adult (parent, carer, support staff, volunteer) in need of some fun ways to get your primary school aged child interested in maths? This course will build your number confidence to help them with their maths homework and explore engaging activities you can do at home to make practising maths more exciting in everyday life.
Who is it suitable for?
This course is suitable for you if you if you are looking to feel more confident supporting a young child with their numeracy development.
How is it completed?
Complete this course by attending sessions at a local community venue or in an online classroom on Microsft Teams.
How long does it take to complete the course?
4 weeks.
What are the entry requirements?
You must be at least 19 years old living or working in Central Bedfordshire or Bedford Borough.
Location
This workshops is delivered in different community venues across Central Bedfordshire and Bedford Borough, or in an online classroom on Microsoft Teams.

What can I progress onto after completing?
You can progress onto our higher level maths courses and start working towards Functional Skills Maths Level 1 and 2 qualifications.
