NCFE Diploma for Residential Childcare Level 3

This level 3 work-based qualification is the mandatory qualification for Residential Childcare, as specified by Ofsted. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: supporting children and young people to set and review goals; key working; care planning and reviews; resident's meetings and multi-agency working. The qualification is assessed by being observed in the workplace and completing e-learning and written tasks. You need to be working in a suitable role for a minimum of 15 hours per week

What does the course cover?
The knowledge and skills needed when working with children and young people in a residential childcare setting.

Who is it suitable for?
Anyone working in residential childcare for a minimum of 15 hours per week. Level 3 is the minimum statutory qualification all employees should hold.

How is it completed?
By being observed in the workplace and completing e-learning and written assignments.

How long does it take to complete the course?
18 months.

What are the entry requirements?
You must be at least 19 years old and working in residential childcare for a minimum of 15 hours per week.

Location
Independent learning with support from an assessor and observations at your workplace.

When can I start?
Anytime.

What can I progress onto after completing?
You may wish to move on to any of our short CPD qualifications

Cost
£2,800. Payment by instalments can be arranged.
