What does the course cover?
An in-depth understanding of the knowledge and skills required when working directly with children and young people in a school or college environment.
Who is it suitable for?
This qualification is suitable for anyone working or volunteering in key stage 1 or above, for a minimum of 15 hours per week.
How is it completed?
By being observed in the workplace and completing e-learning and written assignments.
How long does it take to complete the course?
15 months.
What are the entry requirements?
You must be at least 19 years old and working or volunteering in key stage 1 or above, for a minimum of 15 hours per week.
Location
Independent learning with support from an assessor and observations at your workplace.
When can I start?
Anytime.
What can I progress onto after completing?
You may wish to move on to any of our short CPD qualifications
Cost
£2,200. You may be eligible to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan. Alternatively, payment in instalments can be arranged.
