What does the course cover?
This qualification emphasises evidence-based approaches and best practices for understanding distressed behaviour in children. Key topics you will cover include:

- Building empathy and rapport with children?
Who is it suitable for?
This qualification is suitable for those who work with children and want to understand more about distressed behaviour. However, you don't need to be working in a relevant job role or have any prior knowledge or experience.
How is it completed?
This is a short professional qualification, which is completed entirely online. There's no face-to-face contact with your assessor. Instead, you will be uploading evidence to an online learning platform, which will be assessed remotely, and feedback provided.
How long does it take to complete the course?
3 months.It is important that you can commit sufficient time to this qualification, and in order to achieve it, you need to ensure you can allocate 5-7 hours per week (on average) for completing the tasks.
What are the entry requirements?
You must be at least 19 years old.
Location
Independent learning completed online, with remote support from an assessor.

What can I progress onto after completing?
You can access any other of our short CPD qualifications, or move on to one of our vocational qualifications, subject to being in the right job role.
