Description

This two-day course will give you the tools to feel 'interview ready' and help you to secure employment. It will focus on top tips for searching and applying for jobs to get an interview invite, and then how to prepare for your interview day.

This course is delivered by Bedfordshire Employment and Skills Academy, part of Central Bedfordshire.

What does the course cover?
Across the two days, you'll focus on searching for job adverts, and how to tailor a CV, cover letters, job applications and personal statements. You'll also learn practical tips to stand out in your interview, such as positive body language, understanding different question styles, and planning answers to common interview questions. You'll get to experience undertaking a successful interview by having a go at a mock interview scenario to put your skills into practice.

This course is suitable for you if you are looking to improve your interview skills and secure employment.

How is it completed?
Complete this short course by attending two sessions a local community venue delivered by a careers advisor.

How long does it take to complete the course?
This course is delivered in different community venues across Central Bedfordshire and Bedford Borough. The course runs over two days, each session lasting 4.5 hours.

What are the entry requirements?
You must be at least 19 years old living or working in Central Bedfordshire or Bedford Borough.

Location
This workshop is delivered face to face in a local community venue.

When can I start?

What can I progress onto after completing?
