Entry requirements
Anyone 19+ who is working or volunteering in an early years setting for a minimum of 7 hours per week.
What does the course cover?
1. Identify and challenge weak practices and make recommendations to enhance safeguarding and welfare practices in line with statutory requirements.
2. Maintain and model best practices to support the safeguarding and welfare of children, adhering to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework and the policies and procedures of your setting.
3. Coordinate and deliver safeguarding intervention strategies to promote children's welfare and wellbeing, including partnership working and signposting.
How is it completed?
This programme is delivered by Bedfordshire Employment and Skills Academy.
It is delivered via an e-learning platform, accessible at any time, with regular assessor support.
