What does the course cover?
During the workshop, you will learn where to find school vacancies and how to research roles effectively; understand what schools expect in application forms, including key policies such as safeguarding and equality; develop your ability to write strong personal statements using the STAR method; explore local course and progression opportunities to support your career journey.
Who is it suitable for?
This workshop is ideal for anyone preparing to get into work, change careers or seeking progression opportunities within a school environment.
How is it completed?
You'll attend a 2-hour virtual classroom session via Microsoft Teams, delivered by a friendly careers advisor.
The content will be delivered by presentation, with opportunities for discussion and questions during the workshop. The session includes an activity to evaluate example personal statements, along with a video featuring insights from a local Head Teacher.

What are the entry requirements?
You must be at least 19 years old and live or work in Central Bedfordshire or Bedford Borough.
