What does the course cover?
During the workshop, you will understand the purpose of a personal statement; learn how to structure a clear and compelling personal statement; identify the skills employers are seeking and select strong supporting examples; build confidence in using the STAR method to showcase your experience; learn about local courses and progression opportunities.

Who is it suitable for?
This workshop is ideal for anyone preparing to get into work, change careers or seeking progression opportunities.

How is it completed?
You'll attend a 2-hour virtual classroom session via Microsoft Teams, delivered by a friendly careers advisor. The content will be delivered by presentation, with opportunities for discussion and questions during the workshop. There will be an activity to evaluate some examples of personal statements during the session.

How long does it take to complete the course?
2 hours

What are the entry requirements?
You must be at least 19 years old and live or work in Central Bedfordshire or Bedford Borough.

This workshop is delivered in an online classroom on Microsoft Teams.
