What does the course cover?
By the end of the course, learners will be able to: apply different spelling strategies to spell unfamiliar words; improve reading comprehension by better understanding word patterns and relationships; recall basic concepts of how to structure sentences correctly; demonstrate accuracy in writing.
Who is it suitable for?
This course is suitable for adult learners who already have some basic English skills and want to improve their reading, writing, and spelling for everyday life, work, or further study. It is ideal for those working towards a Functional Skills English qualification at Entry Level 2 or 3, or for learners looking to build confidence in using English accurately and effectively in real-life situations.
You must be at least 19 years old and live or work in Central Bedfordshire or Bedford Borough.
How is it completed?
This 4-week course consists of weekly 2-hour group sessions led by an experienced English tutor. You will also receive 1 hour of homework each week to complete between sessions. The course is offered multiple times per year and is available in both online and face-to-face formats.
How long does it take to complete the course?
Between 3 to 6 weeks.

You must be at least 19 years old living or working in Central Bedfordshire or Bedford Borough.
