What does the course cover?
Learners will cover how network devices work, how to secure them, and how to build and maintain networks. They will develop skills in troubleshooting and supporting networks, as well as understanding threat intelligence, risk management, and network security.
Those who demonstrate strong aptitude and pass the optional exams will have the opportunity to achieve the globally recognised Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST) in Cybersecurity.
Entry requirements and who is it suitable for
The Cybersecurity Skills Bootcamp is suitable for adults aged 19+ who are seeking to enter or progress within cyber security, IT infrastructure and digital technology roles. It is designed for individuals with little or no prior cyber security experience, as well as those with basic IT, digital or technical experience who wish to develop foundational networking and cyber security capability.
How is it completed?
The Cybersecurity Skills Bootcamp is completed over 8 weeks, Monday to Thursday, online through live teaching, guided labs, independent study, and externally validated assessment. All learning materials, activities, submissions, progress tracking and feedback are accessed through a secure online learning platform. There is no face-to-face assessment requirement. Trainer and assessor support is provided remotely throughout the programme.

What can I progress onto?
Learners completing the Cybersecurity Skills Bootcamp can progress into further technical training, apprenticeships and higher-level professional certifications that deepen cyber, networking and infrastructure capability and support sustained employment pathways.
